Ariam / ˈɑː·ri·am / · noun

Heavenly; an exalted place. In Hebrew-linked readings, lion of God.

We chose a name that points upward. The lion at the heart of our mark is not about power for its own sake — it is strength, placed in the service of the vulnerable. The open hands beneath it are the promise: whatever we are given, we carry with care.

Our three-word vow — Compassion. Care. Change. — is more than a line beneath the logo. Each word is a pillar of the work, and every project we take on must stand on one of them.

Our mission

Three pillars. One promise.

We focus where need is greatest and where careful, well-run giving changes the most: relief when families are in crisis, care when health is out of reach, and education that outlasts us all.

Every pillar begins in Kashmir, where we know the people we work with by name.

Where we work

Starting close to home. Reaching far.

Our first programmes launch in Kashmir, where trusted family and community relationships mean help arrives directly and is accounted for. From there we are preparing to work in Morocco, Jordan and Senegal — regions where our three pillars meet real need, and where we can operate safely and well.

How your giving travels

A straight line from your hand to theirs.

  1. I

    You give

One-off or monthly, every gift is recorded against a specific project — never lost in a general pot.

  2. II

    We verify

Each project is costed before it starts and delivered with local partners we know by name.

  3. III

    It arrives

Directly to families, clinics and classrooms — no layers between your gift and the need.

  4. IV

    You see it

Photos, receipts and plain-English updates come back to you, so you know exactly what changed.

We are a small foundation by design — three founders, direct relationships, and a promise to publish what we raise, what we spend, and what it achieved.

What we hold ourselves to

Our commitments

What we hold ourselves to.

Trust is earned in the details. These are the standards every Ariam programme is measured against — from the first food parcel to the first school we help keep open.

Dignity first

We serve people, not statistics. Every programme is designed with the families it is for, and delivered in a way we would be proud to receive ourselves.

Open books

We will publish what we raise, what we spend and what it achieved — every year, in plain English, for anyone to read.

Local leadership

Programmes are run by people who live where the need is, so help arrives with understanding, not just supplies.

Rooted in faith, open to all

Our values are shaped by our faith. Our help is offered to everyone in need, whatever their background or belief.

Small and accountable

Built as a UK charitable foundation with named trustees responsible for every decision and every pound.

Gift Aid, when we are ready

Once registered, UK taxpayers will be able to add Gift Aid to their gifts — 25p for every £1 — at no cost to themselves.

Founding team

The people behind the promise.

The road ahead

Built carefully, in the open.

We would rather be slow and right than fast and careless. Here is where we are, and what comes next.
